yesterday they announced that i was the winner of the CTlivemusic local spotlight. what this means is that i had some VERY dedicated people voting for me every day. i spoke with the man who organized this competition about a week ago and he said it was pretty clear who they were going to announce as winner.
i was really touched by how much support i got for this, not just with votes, but myspace comments and messages, emails, and even some blog comments.
it only gets better from here...

Just want to congratulate you on this accomplishment, no easy task, as only you know. I am so happy that your talent, style, and sound are finally getting out there. As a big fan I can only help by buying more Cd's and getting them passed out to those who have not yet had the pleasure of hearing you. Thanks for the updates, I will get to a performance.. it is on my BIG TO DO LIST!
And the more I play your CD the more I hear the intricate arrangements and sound.. awesome, I love it! It is a work of art!
